Precision Linear Power Supplies up to 400V at 200W
The HWD Series precision linear power supplies provide pure linear regulated DC power designed to be used in lab bench, system application, R&D and production test.
The HWD Series provides full rated voltage or current at any setting without the need for derating. These precision linear power supplies are provided with front panel binding posts and rear barrier terminal strip for ease in output wiring. The unit is also provided with remote sense in the rear terminals for excellent regulation at the point of load. The optional IEEE-488, LAN, RS485 and RS232 interface makes the HWD Series power solution a versatile systems test instrument.

Input: 115 VAC ±10%, 50/60 Hz Single Phase.
Optional: 220 VAC ±10%, 50/60 Hz Single Phase.
Output: See specific model in table. The output is floating and either side may be grounded.
Load Regulation: See specific model in table. Regulation is for a full load step.
Line Regulation: See specific model in table. Regulation is for a line change from within specified input voltage range.
Ripple: ≤1 mV RMS.
Response Time: The output voltage is within regulation limits in less than 100 microseconds for a ½ load step. The output voltage will remain within regulation limits for input line step within specified voltage range.
Remote Sensing: Units provided with remote sense terminals at the rear for regulation at the point of load.
Remote Programming: All units are voltage programmable at approximately 1000 Ω / Volt except Model HWD400-0.5B which is programmable at 500 Ω / Volt.
Series / Parallel Operation: Two or more units may be operated in series. Two units with the same voltage and current may be operated in parallel.
Temp. Coef.: 0.02% / °C.
Stability: Better than 0.05%/8 hours at constant line, load and temperature after ½ hour warm up.
Operating Temperature: 0°C to +50°C at any combination of line, load and temperature without the need for external cooling.
Terminations: Barrier strip terminal is provided at the rear for output, sensing, remote programming and ground. 5 Way binding posts are provided on the front panel for output and ground. A 7’ 3-wire line cord is provided for AC Input.
Protection: The power supply is protected by a fuse in the input line. The output of the supply is protected by means of a fully adjustable current limiting circuit.
Panel Controls: Digital voltmeter, digital ammeter, 10 turn voltage control, 10 turn current control, pilot light, ON/OFF switch and five way binding posts. The voltage and current control are fully adjustable by means of 10 turn panel potentiometers.
Finish: The standard front panel and chassis finish is light blue. Cover is dark blue.
Size: 4 ½” H x 8” W x 14” D.
Two units can be mounted in a 5¼“ x 19” rack mount tray.
