Linear Laboratory Power Supplies
CONSTANT HIGH VOLTAGE SUPPLIES
0-350V

HV SERIES

APPLICATIONS:

The HV Series of Linear Power Supplies are all silicon, high voltage, relatively high power, and tightly regulated. Their very low ripple and noise content make them attractive sources for "Down Hole", Fixed and Towed Array systems power. They find application both in the laboratory and in systems power. They find application both in the laboratory and in systems where both versatility of operation and a high degree of regulation is required. Adjustable solid state current limiting provides load protection. IEEE-488 and RS485 and analog programming options are available.

FEATURES:

  • All solid state
  • Adjustable current limit
  • <1 mv ripple
  • 10-turn voltage adjustments
  • Remote programming
  • Remote sensing
  • Analog meters
  • 0.01% Regulation
  • High power, small size
  • IEEE-488 / RS232 Option

SPECIFICATIONS

Input:
105-125 Volts AC 50 to 60Hz single phase.
198-242 Volts AC 50 to 60 Hz single phase for 8-3/4 panel heights unit and up.
Output: See specific model in table
The output is floating and either side may be grounded.
Load Regulation:0.01% of the maximum rated coltage for a full load step.
Line Regulation: 0.01% of th e maximum rated voltage for a line change from 105 to 125 or 125 to 105 VAC.
Ripple: Less than 1mv RMS
Response Time: The output voltage is within regulation limits in less than 100 ms for 1/2 load step.
The output voltageis within regulation limits in les tha 100 microseconds for a line step of 10%
Remote Sensing: To allow for point of load regulation all units are provided with remote sense terminals at the rear.
Remote Programming: All units are voltage programmable at approximately 1000/volt standard.
Series/Parallel Operation: Two or more units may be operated in series. Two units of the same voltage and current may be operated in parallel.
Temp. Coef.: 0.01%/degree C.
Stability: Better than 0.05%/8 hours at constant line, load and temperature, after 1/2 hour warm up.
Operation Temperature: 0C to +50C at any combination of line, load and temperature including continuous operation at 125VAC and full load without the need for external cooling.
Terminations: Barrier strip terminals are provided at the rear for output, sensing, remote programming, slaving and ground.

Protection: The power supply is protected by a fuse in the input line. 8-3/4" and larger models have an AC input circuit breaker.
The output of the linear power suppli is protected by means of the fully adjustable solid state current limiting feature.
Panel Controls: Voltmeter, ammeter, 10 turn voltage control, current limit control, pilot light and on/off switch.
The voltage level is fully adjustable by means of a 10 turn panel voltage adjust potentiometer.
Finish: The standard front panel and chassis finish is blue.
Size: See specific models for panel heights. Width is 19" rack panel mountings. Dept is 16-1/2" behind the panel, except 8-3/4" & larger models which are 22" deep
